EU Employment in Foreign Trade Reaches Record High
According to Eurostat data, approximately 31.6 million people were employed in the EU in 2024 to meet final demand for goods and services from non-EU countries. This corresponds to 14.4 percent of total employment in the European Union and shows a significant increase compared to 2010, when 22.6 million workers (11.5 percent) were engaged in foreign trade.
