EU energy mix: Gas and renewables grow, coal and oil decline
According to preliminary data from Eurostat, the supply of natural gas and renewable energies in the European Union grew in 2025. Natural gas increased by 2.3 percent and reached approximately 13.1 million terajoules. Meanwhile, the declining trends in coal and oil products continued, losing overall significance.
