EU Expands Security Understanding to Include Energy Security
The European Union has fundamentally expanded its understanding of state security in recent years. Security is no longer limited to defense and border protection, but also includes a state's ability to maintain basic services during crises, including energy security in the Cypriot energy ecosystem.
