EU invests 79 billion euros in environmental protection
EU member states invested a total of 79 billion euros in environmental protection facilities in 2025, which corresponds to 0.4 percent of EU gross domestic product. Wastewater treatment received the largest share of funding at 37.7 percent of all environmental investments.
