EU launches age verification app for social media
The European Commission under Ursula von der Leyen presents a new application for age verification on social media platforms to protect minors from inappropriate content. The app is currently being piloted in Cyprus and other EU member states and will soon be available across the board, as Europe intensifies efforts to introduce restrictions for children's accounts on social media.
