EU Parliament Approves Decarbonization Fund for Industry
The European Parliament approved on Tuesday with 433 votes in favor a report on establishing a temporary decarbonization fund. The fund is designed to support European companies in carbon-intensive sectors such as cement and aluminum industry that export to third countries. Cypriot Member of the European Parliament Michalis Hatzipantelis serves as the shadow rapporteur of the European People's Party for the corresponding regulation.
