EU Parliament strengthens defenses against disinformation and interference
The European Parliament voted on Tuesday in Strasbourg for an own-initiative report aimed at strengthening Europe's defense mechanisms against foreign interference, disinformation, cyberattacks, deepfakes, and election interference. The report aims to protect European democracy against a growing array of threats. The Parliament has thus taken an important political step to safeguard democratic institutions.
