EU Passenger Rights Reformed: Increased Compensation and Free Hand Baggage
The European Parliament approved with an overwhelming majority (646 yes, 12 no, 3 abstentions) the reform of EU passenger rights after 13 years of negotiations. The new regulation was agreed upon in June under Cyprus's EU Council presidency. It provides improved compensation arrangements starting from three hours of delay and includes free hand baggage.
