EU plans reform of public procurement rules in June
The European Commission is preparing reforms to regulate public procurement that are to be implemented in June 2026. The public procurement sector encompasses an annual volume of over 2 trillion euros across the entire EU. A coalition of trade unions, businesses, and politicians recently held a first summit to counter a 'race to the bottom' in procurement conditions.
