EU Residence Permits: Ukrainians and Turks Dominate Increase
EU countries issued a total of 3.9 million first residence permits to non-EU citizens in 2025, representing a 10.1 percent increase compared to the previous year. This means 355,350 additional permits compared to 2024, with employment remaining the main reason for immigration.
