EU Strengthens Airline Passenger Rights: Compensation from 3 Hours Delay
The European Parliament passed with overwhelming majority a reform of airline passenger rights, finalized after 13 years of negotiations. The agreement reached under Cyprus's EU Council presidency in June was ratified with 646 to 12 votes with 3 abstentions. The new rules guarantee compensation from 3 hours delay and free hand luggage.
