EU unanimity blocks imports from Israeli settlements
The European Union decided after a tense meeting on Monday not to introduce an import ban on products from illegally occupied Israeli territories. Fewer than half of EU member states voted in favor of measures on this issue. France and Sweden led the efforts for an import ban, however the unanimity requirement allowed individual countries to block it.
