EU Unemployment Insurance on Verge of New Regulation
A comprehensive EU reform of unemployment insurance, which would require the employment country instead of the country of residence to make payments, is on the verge of being passed. The European Parliament approved the proposal with 511 to 87 votes after it had been under negotiation for nearly ten years.
