European Drought Crisis Threatens Economy More Than Other Natural Hazards
A new analysis by rating agency Morningstar DBRS warns that the ongoing drought in Europe is already affecting agriculture, inland shipping, and energy generation. According to the study, the economic consequences could be greater than those of other natural disasters. The analysis examines the impact of extreme weather events in summer 2026.
