European funds do not justify hasty legislation
The Cypriot government had committed since 2021 to establishing the Cypriot Economic Development Organization (KOAE). The corresponding draft law was submitted to parliament only shortly before the deadline and provoked strong reactions from parties. The draft law is a prerequisite for funds from the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility, from which Cyprus is to benefit overall.
