European heat waves cause rising insurance losses
Europe's fifth heat wave of the year is forcing companies to suffer revenue losses as customers avoid traditional outdoor activities. Particularly in Southern Europe, restaurants are losing income because guests are spending time in air-conditioned indoor spaces instead. Many of these losses are not covered by insurance, which further burdens businesses.
