European Recognition for Digital Religious Tourism Program
The office for ecclesiastical services of the Metropolitankirche Trimithoustos has developed a digital program for religious tourism that has received European recognition. The project "Religious Tourism – Pilgrimage Routes in the Larnaca Diocese" presents over 2,200 photographs of churches and relics and was implemented as part of the LEADER program for rural development 2014-2020. The initiative demonstrates Cyprus's success in the digital presentation of cultural heritage.
