Europeans continue to prefer cash - ECB survey underway
In the first week of a survey launched by the ECB on favorite euro banknotes, six million votes were already cast – averaging one million per day. This demonstrates the continued strong interest of European citizens in cash despite increasing digitalization. Should the high participation continue, numerous citizens of the eurozone will take part in the vote.
