Eurosystem Publishes Strategy for European Payment Systems
The Eurosystem, consisting of the European Central Bank and the national central banks of the 20 euro member states, has published a comprehensive payment strategy. This strategic roadmap sets out a vision for the future of European transactions in light of rapid technological change and is intended to ensure that the Eurosystem continues to fulfill its functions.
