Eurozone Banks Tighten Credit Standards Further
According to a survey by the European Central Bank, banks in the eurozone tightened their credit lending standards again in the second quarter of 2026. While demand for credit from businesses increased slightly, household demand declined significantly. The stricter standards affect both corporate and consumer lending.
