Explosion in Indian hydropower plant tunnel – nine dead
An explosion in a tunnel for a hydropower project in northeastern India killed at least nine workers, with over 15 more missing. The explosion was caused by a suspected gas leak and occurred in an NHPC project on the Teesta River in the state of Sikkim.
