Extreme heat could cost Cyprus billions by 2050
A study by the Cyprus Institute warns that extreme heat events could cumulatively burden the Cypriot economy by up to 3.8 billion euros by 2050. The frequency and intensity of such events are increasing and threaten the health and productivity of workers in both indoor and outdoor sectors.
