Family Law Comprehensive Reform: Children's Rights and Parental Duties Reorganized
The Cypriot parliament is conducting a fundamental overhaul of family law, focusing particularly on child protection and parental obligations. The parliamentary legal affairs commission began detailed article-by-article debate of four of eight draft laws that will radically transform family relationships. The reform initiative, which began in 2018, has already passed five laws (including mediation), with four more still pending.
