Farm Associations Demand Immediate Compensation for Foot-and-Mouth Disease Victims
Several Cypriot agricultural organizations have jointly written to President Nikos Christodoulides demanding the immediate payment of compensation to livestock breeders whose animals were culled by the state due to foot-and-mouth disease outbreaks. The organizations PEK, EKA, Panagrotos, New Agricultural Movement, and Euroagrotikos submitted the letter on April 6, 2026.
