Farmers block road and threaten protest at EU dinner
Libyan farmers completely blocked the Rizoelia intersection on Thursday and staged a tense confrontation with Justice Minister Costas Fytiris. The farmers are demanding reinforcement and threaten to march to the working dinner of EU leaders in Ayia Napa to protest against measures to combat foot-and-mouth disease and the associated livestock cullings.
