Farmers Demand Compensation Following Livestock Culling
Cyprus' farmers are demanding immediate compensation and realistic solutions for herd replacement on Tuesday, following the culling of over 30,000 animals due to foot-and-mouth disease. Panagrotiki Agricultural Union chairman Christos Papapetrou emphasized the poor psychological condition of farmers given the uncertainty of recovery from the outbreak.
