FIFA Abandons 20 Billion Dollar Sales Plan
According to reports from the New York Post, FIFA has scrapped its plan for outside financing through the sale of corporate stakes to external investors. The deal, which was to generate up to 4.2 billion dollars for FIFA through the sale of business shares, collapsed following worldwide protests from football officials and internal tensions between association leadership.
