Finance Minister Makis Keraunus presented to the government a mid-year report on fiscal policy showing economic resilience and satisfactory growth. At the same time, inflationary tendencies are being recorded. The minister emphasized that budget surpluses are not created for their own sake, but serve debt repayment and meeting needs. A possible expansion of the reduced fuel tax is currently under consideration.
