Finance Minister Seeks EU Approval for Electricity Tax Reform
Finance Minister Makis Keravnos has initiated a procedure with the European Commission to change the calculation and collection of value added tax on electricity bills. He argues that the current method amounts to double taxation that cannot continue. Keravnos is attending a Eurogroup council meeting in Luxembourg.
