Fire department handles 36 operations in 24 hours
The Cypriot fire service responded to 36 operations in the last 24 hours, including 22 fires and 11 special rescue operations, according to spokesman Andreas Kettis. Three of the alarms turned out to be false alarms, while a major fire in an old two-story house in Pera Orinis caused significant damage.
