Fire Department Records 54 Operations Over Easter – Majority Related to Easter Fires
The Cypriot Fire Department responded to 54 operations in the last 24 hours, including 42 fires and 12 special measures. Of the 42 fires, 37 were connected to the traditional Easter bonfire tradition (Lambradjies), with the majority of incidents—23 cases—recorded in Nicosia, followed by Limassol and Larnaka with 6 cases each, and Paphos with 1 case.
