First Dinosaur Fossil of Antarctica Identified
Researchers have for the first time identified a dinosaur fossil collected in Antarctica over 40 years ago that had gone unnoticed in a museum collection. The fossil is classified as part of a titanosaur's tail, a long-necked herbivorous dinosaur from the late Cretaceous. The discovery confirms the historical presence of this species on the southernmost continent.
