First green highway with recycled asphalt promotes rural development
The new Astromeritis-Evrychou highway, the fourth phase of the Nicosia-Troodos axis network, uses innovative technology with recycled asphalt and represents a milestone for Cyprus's infrastructure. The project improves traffic connections for the rural municipalities of Marathasa, Pitsilia and Solea to the capital and contributes to economic regeneration of these structurally weak regions. The highway means improved safety and easier access for thousands of residents.
