Five-Mile Beach Leased to Turkish Military
The 1974 landing beach (Five Miles near Kyrenia) has been leased to the Turkish occupation army for 30 years. This was done through the administration of the Waqf Foundation of the pseudo-state entity with the aim of preserving its historical character and converting the area into an open-air museum. However, there are problems with Turkish-Cypriot 'investors'.
