Foot-and-mouth disease affects 5.5% of Cyprus livestock
The foot-and-mouth disease outbreak in Cyprus has so far affected 5.5 percent of the country's livestock, excluding pigs. Stavros Malas, chairman of the government's scientific committee, described the losses as currently 'manageable', provided authorities succeed in containing the spread of the disease.
