Foot-and-Mouth Disease Costs Sheep Breeders Ten Percent of Their Herds
Three new cases of foot-and-mouth disease have occurred in the Athienue region, a major centre of Cypriot livestock farming. This has caused great concern among breeders, as the total number of infected farms has risen to 108. In total, the disease has already destroyed ten percent of sheep and goat farming in the region.
