Foot-and-mouth disease: Cyprus farmers boycott vaccination in Paphos
The fight against foot-and-mouth disease in Cyprus is stalling as livestock farmers in the Paphos region refuse to have their herds vaccinated. Although veterinary authorities have given the green light for introducing test animals into prepared and disinfected stalls, anti-vaccination farmers are blocking the measures. This attitude jeopardizes hopes for the final eradication of the disease.
