Foot-and-Mouth Disease: First Positive Cases in Pig Farming
Animals continue to be culled in Cyprus to combat foot-and-mouth disease. This week, approximately 1,358 sheep and goats as well as 190 cattle have already been slaughtered, with further measures planned throughout the week. The virus was detected for the first time in a 4,000-pig farm located in a previously unaffected area.
