Forced Auctions: Victims of Party Politics in Cyprus
Borrowers and banks could become entangled in time-consuming court proceedings if certain parliamentary resolutions on forced auctions are implemented without first being revised by parliamentarians. Rather than solving problems, this would cause additional difficulties and affect large parts of the population. The current situation demonstrates the negative impact of party interests on economic regulations.
