Forest authority stops illegal fires in Akamas and Koutrafas
The forest service stopped two illegal fires within a few hours in the areas of Lara Beach (Akamas Forest Park) and Koutrafas. In one case, young people were illegally grilling on the beach, and in another, a fire was set in an orchard. Thanks to forest protection patrols and surveillance cameras, the fires were quickly detected and further damage prevented.
