Forest fire danger increases across Cyprus – evacuations carried out in Larnaca
The Cypriot Fire Department warns of increased forest fire danger due to current weather conditions and appeals to the public to exercise heightened caution. During a forest fire in the Larnaca district, the municipalities of Ayia Anna and Psevdas had to be evacuated, with the civil protection organization activating the emergency evacuation plan. A technical error delayed the CyAlert emergency warning during the fire.
