Forest Fire in Paphos Under Control – Six Aircraft Deployed
A forest fire broke out on Saturday afternoon in the municipality of Statos-Agios Fotios in the Paphos mountains. The fire department and forestry service responded quickly and brought the fire under control before it could advance into residential areas. The fire destroyed approximately three hectares of wild vegetation, vineyards and acacia trees as well as irrigation hoses. Six aircraft were deployed to combat the fire.
