Former Attorney General knew of corruption allegations since 2019
The then Attorney General Costas Clerides was informed in 2019 of evidence that later formed the basis for corruption allegations by journalist Makarios Drousiotis, according to statements by his brother Nikos Clerides in the newspaper Politis. The central witness of the investigation, known as "Sandy," reportedly informed Clerides of the allegations at that time.
