France and Oman cooperate on mine clearance in the Strait of Hormuz
France and Oman agreed on joint cooperation with international partners to clear mines in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz and secure shipping routes. President Emmanuel Macron announced the agreement following talks with Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. The initiative aims to contribute to maritime security in one of the world's most important shipping lanes.
