Fraud in Cyprus with higher losses
According to the Central Bank, Cyprus registered approximately 14,000 fraud cases in payment transactions in the second half of 2025, representing a 5% decline. However, losses per case are increasing, particularly in money transfers. The Central Bank is raising alarm over the growing financial damage from organized fraud.
