Fraud trial Avakoum Monastery: Victims report missing receipts
In the trial against Avakoum Monastery over fraud incidents, three witnesses reported that the monastery took money from them without receipts or owed them debts. Beekeeper Menelaos Philippou and painter Charalambos Kekkos testified that the monastery owed them approximately 2,500 and 15,000 euros respectively, while Costas Petsas, a disability benefit recipient, also filed financial claims.
