French asset management takes over Great Sea Interconnector
French asset management company Meridiam acquired the majority stake in the Great Sea Interconnector and purchased the controlling shares from Greece's independent transmission system operator Admie. The deal positions Meridiam, whose asset portfolio was valued at approximately 23 billion US dollars (19.9 billion euros) prior to this acquisition, as the project's driver and ends Admie's long-term control.
