French Cement Conglomerate Convicted of Terrorism Financing
A Paris court convicted Lafarge, a division of Holcim, of financing terrorism and violating European sanctions. The Syrian company financed Jihad groups to keep its factory in northern Syria operational during the civil war. This is the first case in France in which a company has been convicted of financing terrorism.
