French investor takes over Greece-Cyprus power connection
French investment firm Meridiam will take control of Great Sea Interconnector (GSI), the company behind the electricity transmission connection between Greece and Cyprus. The mega-project with a budget of over 2 billion euros is to be strengthened financially through the new partnership. The agreement is announced by Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis.
