Fuel prices surge sharply - subsidies at risk
Fuel prices in Cyprus rose significantly in March: gasoline by 20.9 cents per liter, diesel by 35.4 cents, and heating oil by 28.5 cents. Consumers fear that the government subsidies will be depleted by these price increases before reaching households, thus failing to achieve their intended effect.
